SiraatOnePrivacy Policy
SiraatOne Quran (Android)
In short: no account or sign-in; no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting libraries; the app does not access your location; your bookmarks, notes and settings stay on your device.
Information we collect
SiraatOne does not collect, sell or share personal information. The app has no user accounts and does not send your personal data to the developer.
Information stored on your device
The app saves the following only on your phone or tablet:
- Settings, such as language, theme and reading options.
- Bookmarks, favorites, highlights, personal notes and reading progress.
- Tasbih counts and Islamic calendar fasting marks.
- Content you download, such as Quran script packs, recitation audio, translations and Hadith.
This information is removed when you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
Backups
You can export a backup file and import it again. The file is saved only where you choose with Android's file picker. The app does not upload it anywhere.
Internet use
The app uses the internet only to download Islamic content you ask for, such as Quran text, recitation audio, translations and Hadith. Like any internet request, the server you connect to receives your IP address and basic technical information about the request. These providers' own privacy policies apply. The app may connect to: Quran Foundation (quran.foundation, qurancdn.com, api.quran.com), HadeethEnc.com, EveryAyah.com, mp3quran.net, QuranicAudio.com, QuranFlash, GitHub and jsDelivr (hosted data files) and Hugging Face (hosted data files). Links to sources such as Sunnah.com open in your browser.
Text-to-speech
Pronunciation features use the text-to-speech engine installed on your device. The app passes the text to that engine. The engine's own terms apply.
Sharing
When you tap Share, the text you chose is passed to the app you pick in Android's share menu. Nothing is shared without your action.
Permissions
The app requests internet access only. It does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone or notification permissions.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Because no personal data is stored on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete. To remove everything, clear the app's storage in Android Settings or uninstall the app.
SiraatOne Azan (Android, TV and tablet)
In short: no account or sign-in; no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting libraries; your location is used only to calculate prayer times; your settings stay on your device.
Information we collect
SiraatOne does not collect, sell or share personal information. The app has no user accounts and does not send your personal data to the developer.
Location
To calculate prayer times, the app needs your location. You can either:
- allow the app to use your device location (optional; you can deny this permission), or
- type a city or ZIP/postal code.
The coordinates are saved only on your device. To find the place and its time zone, the app sends the city/ZIP text or the coordinates to these services, whose own privacy policies apply:
- Open-Meteo (geocoding-api.open-meteo.com and api.open-meteo.com): place search and time zone.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim (nominatim.openstreetmap.org): the city name for your coordinates.
Information stored on your device
Prayer settings, location, Azan and alarm choices, Iqama and Jumu'ah times, display settings, profile name and logo, and any wallpaper or audio you choose. This information stays on your device and is removed when you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
Notifications, alarms and background audio
The app uses notifications, exact alarms and a background audio service only to play the Azan and reminders at prayer times. Nothing is sent to us.
Files you choose
If you pick your own Azan audio, wallpaper or logo, the app reads that file from your device and keeps a copy on the device only.
Permissions
Internet, location (optional), notifications, exact alarms, start at boot (to restore alarms after a restart), wake lock and background audio playback. The app does not access contacts, camera or microphone.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
No personal data is stored on our servers. To remove everything, clear the app's storage in Android Settings or uninstall the app.

siraatone.com has no accounts, forms, cookies, ads or analytics. It remembers your reading settings, last position, bookmarks, highlights and notes only in your own browser (never sent to us). A backup file you export is saved only where you choose. When you press play, recitation audio streams from the Quran Foundation recitation sources (verses.quran.foundation, audio.qurancdn.com, mirrors.quranicaudio.com), which receives your IP address like any web request. If you choose a full-surah reciter, the audio streams from MP3Quran.net in the same way. When you open a tafsir, it loads from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net, the spa5k/tafsir_api files). The Hadith page loads hadiths live from HadeethEnc.com in the same way. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages; like any web host, it receives your IP address and basic request information.
Prayer Times. Prayer times and the Qibla direction are calculated in your browser. If you tap "Use my location", your browser asks for permission and the coordinates are kept only in your browser; they are never sent to us or to anyone else. If you search for a city instead, only the text you type is sent to Open-Meteo's geocoding service (geocoding-api.open-meteo.com) to find the place. Notifications appear only if you allow them in your browser, and only while the page is open. You can clear the saved location at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
